In this episode, Dr. George James and Leon Ford discuss:
Watching what we consume
Finding your way to happiness
Inspiring yourself first
Collaborating to inspire change Key Takeaways:
We have to be careful with what we fill ourselves with when we’re in pain or coming from a place of trauma. The tendency is that we consume more hatred, more negativity, bad food and bad habits. We end up with more hurt.
No matter how justified, hatred brings darkness and pain in your life. You have to seek light - positivity, faith, hope, and love - so that you can truly see and find your way towards happiness.
Inspiring others starts with inspiring yourself. In showing people your journey towards being a hero, don’t forget to shine a light on the healing part.
Collaboration in creating a solution is the most efficient way to do activist work and the most effective way to inspire real change in your community. "I want to be an old man, there’s certain choices that I have to make to keep myself healthy - mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally - so that I can strive to become an old man. If I’m gonna let that anger consume me enough to do an act of violence then that could’ve killed me or put me inside of a prison or I could’ve let it fester inside of me… or I could make a conscious decision to let it go." — Leon Ford Connect with Leon Ford: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/leon.ford.790 Twitter: https://twitter.com/leonfordspeaks Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/leonfordspeaks/ Connect with Dr. George James: Website: https://georgetalks.com/georgetalks/ | https://theleapcast.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/georgetalks/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DrGeorgeJamesJr/ LEAPCast Community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/333209771885091 Twitter: https://twitter.com/georgetalks YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/GeorgeTalksLLC/videos LinkedIn: http://linkedin.com/in/GeorgeTalks Audio production by Turnkey Podcast Productions.
